From the President, continued
This is all a prologue to my bringing to your attention the work of the TOL Cemetery Committee, led by Bernie Pinsker, the Interfaith/Outreach Committee, led by Dr. David Fall, Executive Director Joel Goldstein and Rabbi Listfield. They have laid the philosophical and practical groundwork for establishing an interfaith section to our Memorial Park cemetery, many of which already are in use in many other progressive Conservative congregations. Detail, of course, will be carefully and thoughtfully addressed, i.e., headstone and gravestone markings, permissable officiants, physical separation of space, etc. However, this will allow interfaith families to be together in perpetuity, while maintaining and respecting the covenant we hold with those families and their loved ones who are already buried at Memorial Park.

It is my fervent hope that the Board of Directors will understand, acknowledge, and endorse the history and legacy of our congregation and make this essential project a reality.

My heartfelt thanks to Bernie and Dave, their committees, Joel, and Rabbi Listfield for this important step in making our beloved Tree the congregation we want it to be.

See you at The Tree!
Howard Elson President
